About Balaji Temple

The Balaji Temple is the situated in Nerul, Navi Mumbai which is built on the lines of  Venkateshwara Temple at Tirupati and has been constructed according to the Shilpashastras.The Temple is Dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara. This temple is built on the lines of Venkateshwara Temple at Tirupati and has been constructed according to the Shilpashastras. Others temples - Vidya Ganapati Temple, Shri Padmavati Devi Temple, Hanumana Temple, Vishvakasena Temple, Ramanuja Temple, and Lakshmi Nrisimha Temple surround the main temple.This temple observes all religious programs starting from Suprabhata Seva to Ekanta Seva according to the same tradition following in Tirumala Temple. The temple is populary known as Mumbai's  Little Tirupati Balaji Temple.

History of  Balaji Temple

Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple was consecrated on July 10, 1927(Friday) in the presence of His holiness the "Jagadguru Prathivadi Bhayamkara Srimad Ananthacharya Swamji Maharaj of Kanchi". The temple was constructed in Dravidian Style strictly according to Silpa Sastra. Some of the idols(images) found in this temple were belong to the Chola Period(1080 to 1130A.D.). These icons had brought from Udaya Rajendrapuram near Vaniyambadi, Tamilnadu are exquisite pieces of art.
The other deities in the temple are Sri Vardaraja Swami, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, Sri Rajagopala Swamy with Goddess Rukhmini and Satyabhama and Sri Rama, Lakshmana and Goddess Sita.
