Chinese technology company Xiaomi is working on several new smartphones. One of them is the news of Xiaomi 12 S launching later this year. It is said to be the company’s new flagship phone, although Xiaomi has not said anything about it. Meanwhile, the base variant of the phone has been spotted on a bench marking platform. The phone has been spotted on popular bench marking app Geek bench. Some time ago, the Pro model of this phone was also spotted on the 3 C certification website.
Reports If you believe, the Xiaomi 12 S smartphone could see 67 W fast charging. Something similar can be done in the 12 S Pro. Apart from this, the phone can be given an AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back side. For cameras, the company will be partnering with Leica, whose lenses could be offered in the phone.
The base variant of the Xiaomi 12 S is said to be equipped with an octa-core processor. The phone is listed on Geek bench database with model number 2206123 SC. On the processor level, the phone is said to be packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It is speculated to be paired with Adreno 730 GPU. The Geek bench database shows the phone with 12 GB of RAM, but it is more likely that the device will be offered in multiple RAM and storage options.
The device is said to have scored 1328 points in single-core and 4234 points in multi-core tests in Geek bench tests. The Xiaomi 12 S smartphone is said to run on Android 12 OS, with a layer of MIUI 13.
The device is said to be launched in China in the coming months, followed by global markets.
