ISKCON Temple is located at Golok Dham, Bhuddha Marg in Patna the capital of Bihar.The temple was built started in 2007 and is expected to be completed by 2017 and built by International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). The temple is dedicated three deities, namely, Sri Sri Gaur Nitai, Sri Sri Radha Banke Bihari Ji and Sri Sri Ram Durbar.


The temple complex will come up in an area of 2 acres. It will comprise mediation and spiritual centre, restaurant, medical consultancy centre, community kitchen, guesthouse and an auditorium besides the two-storey main structure. The structure will have a central dome and three darbar or halls on the top floor where deities will be placed. The first hall, Radha Banke Bihari Ji Darbar, will consist of idols of Lord Krishna and Radha along with Lalita and Vishakha. The second hall, Ram Darbar, will have the idols of Lord Rama with Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman. The third hall, Gaur Nitai Darbar, will have the idol of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityanand Mahaprabhu. The idols measuring nearly 3-feet will be placed on 24-carat gold plated thrones. The total cost estimated is Rs 51 crore. The auditorium will have the capacity of 1500 persons, to be leased for spiritual programmes. The restaurant will serve the vegetarian food at reasonable prices and will be open for general public.

Dhari Devi Temple is located at Dang Chaura on Srinagar-Rudraprayag road lies in Rudraprayag district and is only few kilometers from Pauri Garhwal district in Uttarakhand.The temple is situated on the banks of river Alaknada.The temple was built in about 2500 years ago.The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali.The Dhari Devi temple in Shrinagar is one of the famous religious sites en route to Rudraprayag.As per local lore, Dhari Devi changes in appearance during the day from a girl, to a woman, and then to an old lady. Only a visit to both the temples makes the darshan of the Goddess complete.The upper half of an idol of a deity came flowing down along the Alaknanda river and settled here. Since then the idol is worshiped here in the form of Goddess Dhari. The Goddess is believed to change appearance during the day. 


Local legend on Dhari Devi states that once there was a huge flood in Alakhananda river which swap away many properties. After the flood, locals heard a woman crying in the river site. When they reached the bank of Alakhananda, they saw the upper half of an idol of goddess Kali attached against a rock in Alakhananda river and they heard an instruction that the goddess wants to be installed at the very place as she is under the open sky. Locals followed the instructions and established Dhari Devi temple in the small island in Alakhnanda river few kilometers below Kaliya Saur in Srinagar-Rudraprayag road.

Mata no Madh situated where the famous temple of Ashapura Mata, the head deity of Kutch stands at 95 km from Bhuj in Lakhapat Taluka.The templeis dedicated to Goddess Ashapura.The temple was built in 14th Century and built by two Karad Vanias, Ajo and Anagor. They were the ministers in the court of the father of Lakho Phulani. The temple was damaged by the earthquake in 1819. The temple was rebuilt by Sundarji Shivji and Mehta Vallabhaji, two Brahmakshatriya in 1823 (Vikram Samvat 1880). The temple is 58 ft. long, 32 ft. wide and 52 ft. tall.


Inside the temple, one can see a six feet high red-painted stone statue of Ashapura Mata. People of many communities gather at the temples for her ‘Darshan’ all the year round, particularly during the ‘chaitra’, and in greater numbers during the ‘Ashvin’ Navratri. During the festival, puja is performed on a large scale; everyone from erstwhile rulers to locals takes an active participation in the festival.In this festival many pilgrims of Gujarat go to mata no Ashapuri Temple madh by walking from various places and feel that they are lucky enough to have this opportunity. Even they go to mata no madh Ashapura temple by bicycle from different states of india. The goddess fulfills all the desires. She is adored as a Kuldevi of the people of Kutch. Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple is situated on top of a hillock, outside the fort of Achalgarh.The temple was built about 9th century and built by the Paramara dynasty, which is also credited with having constructed the original structure of the Achalgarh Fort, later reconstructed, renovated and named as Achalgarh by Maharana Kumbha in 1452 CE.The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is the only temple where Lord Shiva’s Toe is worshiped instead of the Shiv lingam. A huge pancha-dhatu sculpture of divine Nandi along with two large Buffaloes, made of large stone are installed in front of the temple. The alloy used in pancha-dhatu includes five metals namely gold, silver, copper, brass and zinc.

According to popular local legend, the statue of Nandi was credited to protect the temple from an attack of Muslim invaders. When invaders attacked temple the Nandi would protect the temple by releasing innumerable bumble bees towards the attackers thereby saving the temple from destruction. The temple also has several other idols which are sculpted from Sphatik, a quartz stone, which appears opaque in natural light but becomes crystal-like translucent when a light is held against it.

This Temple is the masterpiece work of the artisans of the ancient period. The Sanctum Sanctorum is built with blocks of marble.There is a 4 ton Panch Dhatu (made of five metals – gold, silver, copper, brass and zinc) idol of Nandi (the carrier of Lord Shiva) outside the Temple. It is said that once Muslim invaders attacked this Temple and the Panchdhatu Nandi released millions of bubble bees to attack the invaders and saved the Temple. The Temple also has a natural Shiva Linga and many other sculpted idols made of a crystal like stone. There are three stone buffaloes standing around a pond near the Temple.
