About Babulnath Temple

Babulnath Temple is one of the ancient temples of Lord Shiva, located in the heart of Mumbai. Lord Shiva in the form of a Babul tree is the presiding deity of Babulnath temple. It was built in 1780 at the end of the Marine Drive and South of Malabar Hill. It is nearly 1,000 feet above the sea level, overlooking the Arabian Sea. In the year 1900, a tall spire was added to this auspicious original temple of Lord Shiva. Thousands of devotees flock the temple to seek blessings of Lord Shiva. 
It is a majestic temple, which has a varied heritage and rich ambience of eternal festivity, bustling with the chanting of mantras. A stone ‘Lingam’ of Lord Shiva, mainly known as ‘Shivling’ is worshipped in the temple. The grandeur and magnificence of the temple gives an illusion of Mount Kailas, the eternal abode of Lord Shiva.

About Duladeo Temple

This temple is situated in Madhya Pradesh’s Khajuraho district that has been famous for its architecture and temples. Duladeo temple has been dedicated to Lord Shiva and comprises of his beautiful idol. The magnificence of this place can be seen throughout its architecture and craft. Architecture of Duladev Temple 

According to evidences found, Duladeo temple was built around 1130 A.D. It was built by King Madanvarman of the Chandel dynasty. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is an evidence of the devotion of the people of that period towards Lord Shiva. The architecture of this temple reminds of the Vaastu art belonging to the period of the Chandel dynasty. This reminds of the beautiful moments in Indian history.

The duladeo temple is a great example of the magnificent sculpting art in India. This temple is situated on the banks of a river which makes it even more beautiful. There are a number of different idols in this temple which have been precisely built. They have been so precisely built that sometimes they look real in the first glance. The temple also comprises of an idol of Devi Ganga with four hands. There are different idols in the temple which have been built in various shapes depicting various different stories. The temple has been circularly built and the pillars comprise of drawings of various Apsaras in different dancing forms.

Being dedicated to Lord Shiva, a Shivlinga has been placed in the centre of the temple. Besides Shivalinga, there is also an idol of Mahakal which raises the feeling of spirituality in the visiting devotees. Idols of Lord Ganesha and Virbhadra ji can be seen in the pavilion area of the temple. Other idols that are present in the temple are of different Devi-Devas, humans and Digpal.

History of  Ganesha Temple

At the end the Lord Ganesha is moved out in the procession in the village during day and then visarjan is done.
On the day of New Year Annakuta - Raj bhoga is presented to Lord Ganesha. The temple keeps open from morning till 3 pm noon for darshan.In addition to main festival of Lord Ganesha many other festivals are celebrated at the temple.

About Sas Bahu Temple 

Nagda is actually famous for this unusual temple that dates back to the 10th century. The term 'Sas-Bahu' suggests 'Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law' respectively. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and it is made of two structures, one by a mother-in-law and another by a daughter-in-law. The main entrance to the temples is made through a door that has carved lintels and a multi-lobed arch in its middle. Both the structures are laid out on a same plan having an altar, a mandapa(columned prayer hall) with projections and a porch.

The temple of Sas is comparatively larger than that of the Bahu. The 'Bahu' temple has an octagonal ceiling, which is adorned with beautifully carved eight intricate female figures. The 'Sas' temple has a torana (archway) in its front and it is believed that the image of the Lord Vishnu was swung from the torana along with hymns in the praise of lord on ceremonial occasions. Both the temples are constructed on a common platform facing towards the east direction. The temple is accredited for having wonderful carvings.
